Acro (short for acrobatics) is a supplemental dance style focusing on strength, flexibility, balance, and a heavy influence from gymnastics-based tricks. Different from gymnastics, acro works to provide variations of these skill-based movements, and help dancers understand how to control the tricks in and out of dance-centric transitions and choreography. Acro 1 sets the framework for understanding of body control to cleanly execute essential skills and work towards more difficult variations. Pre-requisite skills include a strong/unsupported straight arm bridge, a clean cartwheel on at least one side, and a controlled handstand kick up/beat

Pre-requisite skills include clean one-handed cartwheel on both sides, controlled handstand with a 1 second hold, front and back walkover, and clean backwards roll to a push up position.

An open-gym format for extra practice with all things Acro! Practice tricks from class or dances with extra support from TDL staff and access to all mats and materials. Dancers are free to come and go within 5-7pm for one flat rate. Dancers must be registered for a drop-in to attend single classes, or may enroll if they intend to come consistently. **Company dancers younger than 6 may attend with prior permission** *Open gym is drop-in rate only ($20/session) and is not included in unlimited tuition hours. If you are looking to take a single class, choose "drop-in" rather than enroll*

Tap dance can be categorized into rhythm tap and broadway tap as two distinctive styles, with our staff predominantly focusing on the fundamentals of rhythm tap. All levels welcome! *Adult classes are a per-class rate ($15/class) billed monthly or a drop in rate of $20/class. Adult classes are not included in unlimited tuition hours. If you are looking to take a single class, choose "drop-in" rather than enroll*
